PHNOM PENH, 6 November 2012 (Cambodia Herald) - The National Election Committee has deleted the names of opposition leader Sam Rainsy and his family members from the electoral roll in Boeung Rang district, sources said Tuesday.
The sources said the decision followed the family's move to Meanchey district.
Sam Rainsy, who has been sentenced to 12 years for forgery and ripping up posts along the border with Vietnam, is believed to be living in France.

What has sam rainsy ever done for the country of Cambodia? Nothing! Other might not agree with the policy of the Cambodian government, but at least they are working to improve the country.
Does rainsy actually think other countries will listen to what he has to say about Cambodia? No because he has nothing to offer them. He has no resources what so ever...I don't see him filled with oil or gold.
There is nothing noble about this man. All he does is talk and talk. Talking is not going to help Cambodia. You need action and power, which rainsy has none.

Yes he tried to protect the border in Svay Rieng but he was called a traitor and sentenced to jail for that. He tried to defend the land victims, but he was threatened with jail term. He tried to fight corruption, bring democracy, stop human rights abuses by Hun Sen, but he was banished from Cambodia. Rainsy has done more than the CPP crooks will admit.

CPP is just as bad as any corrupted government. I am here not argue about that.
What I want to say is that ranisy is just evil as these individual. He stole money from FUNCEPIC as was about to be kicked out from the party my friend!!! I guess you didn't know?
I want Cambodia to be great just like any other country, but please realize that this man is better than Hun Sen. He lies and cheat just like the rest of them. I hate individuals like rainsy who profit from the misfortunes of the poor in order to increase his status among the world as a hero. He is no hero my friend!!!
I agree with all your points about Cambodia losing land to Vietnam, but you must know that rainsy is not the answer to solving this.

You calling me a a dog just defeats all of your argument. I didn't call you any names. All I was saying is that ranisy is not the man that he portrays himself to be in the public. He might not have killed anyone, but he's just as corrupt as cpp. He wasn't even as smart as them. Hun sen got ranisy to vote to change the constitution on a 1 party majority to control the country. Cambodia does not need a coalition party anymore.
The oppositions will never take over cpp. 1. They don't have the money. 2. They don't have the power backed from Vietnam. 3. Vietnam will never let this happen. Cambodia's only chance of a free country should have happen back in 1993 after the elections, which was the only free election in Cambodia. Once cpp lost that elections, they were never going to lose it again, that's why there was a coup in 97 to take over the country with Vietnam backing up cpp's army. Leading Cambodia is a lost cause. We will never lead Cambodia because we don't have the resources to do it. CPP has control of everything with the help of Vietnam. We can all argue back and forth, but Cambodia is still in the hand of cpp.
In conclusion my argument is that ranisy just as corrupt and evil as hun sen. He might be the lesser of the two evil, but he's still the same dog as them. I am not here to argue with you, you are not my enemy, plus you calling me a cpp dog does justify your argument. rainsy can yell all over voa, bbc, cnn, but at the end of the day no one is listening. He does not have any resource to take over Cambodia. Cambodia is not the U.S. ONLY the rich and powerful controls Cambodia unlike the U.S. where any individual has a chance to change the country. Rainsy acts like he is the Aung San Suu Kyi of Cambodia. If he is the hero that he portrays himself to be, why doesn’t he go to Cambodia? Scare of a little jail time? Aung San Suu Kyi wasn’t scare of jail time. She wasn’t afraid to leave her family in England and return to Burma to be arrested. Rainsy yells and yells all over voa, bbc, cnn, etc…but at the end of the day he is still in France yelling. I cannot lead Cambodia. I’m just a normal citizen w/ out the resource of Vietnam to support me, but what I don’t like is these individual like Rainsy lying to the people of Cambodia to benefit their status around the world. Is there something wrong with you? The comments from the posted msg from that individual never suggested that he would be a better leader than Sam Ranisy. He was just pointing out that Sam Ranisy and Hun Sen are same. Both in it to profit from the misfortunes of Cambodia. Why do you have to call him a cpp dog? Just because he doesn't favor Sam Ranisy? He doesn't favor either hun sen as well. It seems you favor Sam Rainsy, so are you Sam Rainsy's dog?
