SAM RAINSY IN BANGKOK TO ATTEND REGIONAL MEETINGS
Opposition leader Sam Rainsy arrived today in Thailand to attend a
number of meetings organized by the Council of Asian Liberals and
Democrats (CALD), a regional organization grouping 10 political parties
from 10 Asian countries: Burma, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mongolia,
Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Taiwan and Thailand.
Sam Rainsy, who is currently the CALD chair, will preside over a CALD
Executive Committee Meeting and will, from November 16 to 19, take part
in a CALD Conference on Democratic Transitions and a CALD Seminar on
Climate Change.
